The inspiration behind Lastra, meaning "slab" in Italian, is rooted in Italy's cheese-making tradition. The design reflects the circular wooden slabs historically used to shape cheese molds. Maestro molder Stefano Roselli has carefully integrated overlapping details into the design. The dark dusting along the edges of each piece nods to the ash once used in cheese preservation while accentuating the unique profiles of each item.

Stefano Roselli is the talented molder behind this collection, working with a ceramics cooperative near Florence for nearly 15 years. Vietri collaborates closely with Stefano and factory owner Franco Ammannati to bring exquisite dinnerware, vases, urns, and home decor to the market.
