Our narrative began as a love affair with Italy. When Susan, Frances, and their mother, Lee Gravely, ventured on their inaugural trip to Italy in 1983, they became enchanted by the rich culture. While dining at the San Pietro Hotel in Positano, they were captivated by the hotel's vibrant, handcrafted tableware. The following day, their curiosity led them to a nearby ceramic workshop in Vietri sul Mare, where they witnessed skilled artisans meticulously painting, glazing, and firing each piece by hand. Inspired and eager to share their discovery, the Gravelys returned home with a diverse collection of pieces inspired by nature, which later evolved into Campagna, Vietri’s flagship dinnerware line. Each piece is hand-painted by our talented artisans and draws inspiration from the vivid colors of the celebrated Amalfi Coast.
