THE ARTISTRY

The clean, straightforward lines of Lastra are inspired by the circular wooden slabs historically used in Italy for cheese molding. These slabs were bound with twine, leaving a slight overlap to help preserve the shape of the cheese mold. Master molder Stefano Roselli has beautifully integrated this overlapping detail throughout the entire design—from the base to the rim of each piece. The subtle dark dusting along the edges hints at the ash traditionally used to preserve cheese, accentuating each silhouette's uniqueness.

MASTERFULLY HANDCRAFTED

Signor Stefano Roselli, the master molder at a ceramic cooperative just outside Florence, is the creative force behind the Lastra collection. For nearly 15 years, VIETRI has collaborated with Stefano and factory owner Franco Ammannati to bring an array of dinnerware, vases, urns, and additional home decor items to life.
